DriveImage XML

DriveImage XML is an easy to use and trust worthy program for imaging and backing up partitions and logic drives
This uses Microsoft's volume shadow services (VSS) allowing you to use safe images even for the drive still in use.

Images are stored in XML files, allowing you to process them with 3rd party tools.
DriveImage XML runs under Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Vista and Windows 7 only. The program will backup, image and restore drives formatted with FAT 12, 16, 32 and NTFS.

Clonezilla

Clonezilla is an open source and cross platform tool to make a copy of a hard drive and to restore them afterwards.

Clonezilla cannot be used as a simple install and use software but you need to burn the ISO image that is available as the download on to a CD or store it in an USB drive.

Then you just need to go to the BIOS and boot from the CD or USB drive just by specifying the BOOT option in the BIOS.

Now you just need to follow the instructions on screen.
